Christoph Schröter: The mill of Ragow and ist conservation as a technical monument Back
Language: Original   -   Translation
Overview:

Abstract: The subject of the work presented here - the Ragow Mill - is considered the last water mill facility with entirely preserved mill works in the valley „Schlaubetal“ (Federal State of Brandenburg). It reflects the operation of a farm crafts mill in the first quarter of the 20th century. The study encompasses the registration of the whole building and the mill facility by means of description, photography and drawings. Additional to this state evaluation investigations concerning the constraction history and the classification regarding technique and time was emphasized. The condition of the mill found required fundamental conservation measures. According to a preliminarily elaborated conservation and restoration concept for the entire mill the conservation of the mill works was subsequently exercised.
