Abstract:	Mounting Materials for graphic art are generally used by picture framers in their everyday work, and sometimes by conservators. According to the producers, they are considered to be suitable for conservation purposes. Nevertheless a comparative study of characteristics and long term behaviour of the existing products is still lacking. This work contains and discusses the results ot the testing of twenty products based on material tests and several methods of accelerated ageing. It can be used to give hints for the applicability of these materials. Top
