Overview:
Abstract: This thesis deals with the foundation regarding the movement of a collection and presents a logistic plan for its realisation. In the first part, the theoretical basis is explained and models for the project development and team-internal communication were evolved. All important steps of the moving process are dealt with from the conservator-restorers point of view. Moreover emphasis is put on references to unpublished thesises. In the second part, the theoretical basis is applied to the example of the ethnological collection of Castle Friedenstein in Gotha/ Thuringia and is also valued. In conclusion, the realisation of all steps of the process, which are necessary before making the objects transportable and packing them, follows. Based on a treatment- and transport-list, which was developed according to the collection-list a calculation of the needed materials and working hours is made. These processes are shown detailed and transparent. Therefore, they are supposed to be useful for other projects.
