Abstract: The mural paintings in the church Saint Florin in Koblenz are one of few creating works of Januarius Zick in the Koblenzer space still exist. In this work a preservation and restoration draught was provided with which it is primarily about it, to what extent the original baroque colouring can be restored and how one could present arms to the viewer later. The most different factors like the gypsum-containing and cement-containing mortars, to the protein-containing and carbohydrate-containing covers as well as the different bad retouchings contribute to the current damage picture. In attempts it was tested with which material the protein-containing cover can be reduced and how the damaging supplements are removed. The proposal of conserver´s and restorer`s broads measure was explained in a pilot`s surface.
