Elisabeth Bär: Investigations about the use of corrosion inhibitors for and the removal of corrosion products from bidri-ware Back
Language: Original   -   Translation
Overview:

Abstract: The readability of bidri-ware is suffering from corrosion phenomena like white crusts on the artificially blackened zinc alloy and strongly tarnished silver inlays. This thesis therefore concentrates on corrosion inhibitors as a possibility to diminish further corrosion of the zinc alloy due to adverse environment conditions and seeks a way to mechanically reduce existing corrosion layers of corrosion products on both zinc and silver.
