Abstract: Centre of the following paper is the investigation to find a concept for the conservation and restoration measures for the wall paintings of the southern clerestory and the painted architecture inside the Kunigundenkirche of Borna. The concept should build the basement for the prospective preservation plan. The present stock was radical determined by the restoration of Willy Rittsche from 1924 until 1933.
The techniques and methods for conservation and restoration of this time are characterized in the theoretical part of the work.
