Overview:

Abstract: The baroque pulpit has been investigated for its construction and its manufacturing technique. The painting support and the polychromy are in good condition. However, the pulpit has serious static problems. In cooperation with the State Conservation Office of Saxony and the University of Applied Sciences Dresden a concept has been created to stabilize the construction. Based on the investigation results, measures for the conservation of the painting support and the polychromy have been conceived, which has been exemplarily carried out on a sample axis.
