Abstract: Within the scope of this work, a painted wood floor from the mid-19th-century will be examined and documented, some diverse concepts for the restorations and conservation will be applied. The focal points are the cleaning of the fragmentary paint layers and the protection of the badly damaged surface in the center of the floor. Diverse concepts, from the conservation up to the reconstruction will be tested and applied to a test panel. In conclusion, some possibilities of the future presentation und protection are displayed.
