Language: Original   -   Translation
Overview:

Abstract: The central focus ot this research paper is the Tympanum ot the portal. Since this cannot be researched isolated from its context, damage-relevant aspects of the whole building are considered. At first the used building materials and the respective phenomena of damage are displayed in catalogue form. Then the materials and damage are mapped. Following to that, the most important factors of damage are researched in depth. The rough distribution of salts in the object and their composition is determined. Their behaviour under the given climatic circumstances is reconstructed.
Finally, recommendations für a preservation concept are given and continuous measures are suggested.
