Tim Paul Bade: Infrared investigations on paintings by using a modified single lens reflection camera Zurück
Sprache: Original   -   Übersetzung
Zusammenfassung: Infrared investigations are common practice in modern conservation, restoration and art history. Their value for the analysis of art is undisputed. The required investigations tend to be very laborious and equipment is either extremely costly, ore the results are of bad quality, leading to insignificant results. A single lens reflection camera is being modified to particularly serve this purpose. It is reviewed on its potential and being compared to other systems currently used for investigation. Resolution and contrast values are determined depending on the spectral range. The sensitivity of the sensor is being measured and practical tests on samples as well as on paintings shall verify the transferability of the results onto the use in conservational practice.
