| Zusammenfassung: | The Stone Hall in the Monsignor floor of the former Cistercian monastery in Raitenhaslach is currently being restored as part of the premises of this monastic building in the future to be used as "Study and Residence Centre" by the TU Munich. Prior to the individual restoration measures, the conditions of the interior design with stucco, paint layer, gilding and wall painting must be carefully investigated and documented. The destruction of one capital on the north wall, caused by moisture damage, provides a glimpse into the interior of stucco and gives an idea of the approach of the craftsmen in the 18th Century. In addition to the plaster base, painting and gilding on the capitals also be examined in more detail. Thorough research and careful use of historical heritage has always top priority, in this case all the more so because it is here well preserved and not yet revised its original form. |
