The subject of the following project is a Late Gothic Madonna figure owned by the Skulpturensammlung Dresden. The paper includes research results on the art technology and damage analysis on which the concept of conservation and restoration was based. The main goal of this diploma thesis was to preserve the original substance of the figure and to visually enhance its appearance. After the conservation and restoration, due to the fragile nature of the object, proposals have been developed to ensure the safe storage and presentation of the Madonna figure in the future.
