Abstract:	In order to make the baroque ballroom at Castle Trips in Geilenkirchen usable again this diploma thesis presents restoration concepts for the timber flooring as well as the wooden panelling. The first part of the thesis introduces the preliminary investigation of the whole historic flooring. The second part works out different restoration and conservation concepts for the baroque interiors. Additionally, options for the improvement of the climatic conditions at Castle Trips are mentioned. These actions are supposed to help preventing further damage to the valuable substance and re-opening these restored rooms to the public. Top
