Language: Original   -   Translation
Overview:
Abstract: The thesis paper at hand deals with monitoring of stone sculptures, shown on the example of
the hunting manor Clemenswerth in Sögel/Lower Saxony, Germany. Both general principles
of long-term monitoring and the practical application were developed. Thitherto, there are no
general principles on monitoring in care and preservation of historical monuments. Through
research and evaluation of different approaches many ideas of long-term monitoring of stone
sculptures were developed and adapted. In addition to the rare existing concepts in care and
preservation of historical monuments examples of inspection of construction and quality
management were consulted. Subsequently the newly-won concept was used in a simple but
efficient way on the hunting manor Clemenswerth. The conclusion of the thesis paper can be
transferred on other objects and provides a principle for future monitoring in care and preservation
of historical monuments.
