Tina Fritzlar: Testing of temporary and permanent facings on colour versions of walls and ceilings A comparative study of methods and materials Back
Language: Original   -   Translation
Overview:

Abstract: Today, facings are utilized mainly in conservation of marred wall paintings and for the protection of surfaces. They can be secured by the use of different papers and adhesives for a certain time span or by permanent covering. A theoretical view on the methods and suitable materials is giving a review of properties and application possibilities of the same. They are examined by experiments on self-made samples and the particular materials used for them. Important aspects of the study were mechanical properties and the associated aging resistance.
