| Abstract: |
Subject of this diploma thesis are the wallpaintings of the historical students prison of the University of Mining and Technology. Besides covering the remaining original inventory and the current conditon of the wall and ceiling paintings, scientific investigations were executed and results documented. These results combined with the those of the climate measurements and the salt-reducing measures taken with poultices serve as the foundation for preparing a restoration and conservation concept which focuses mainly on the treatment of the salt-demaged southern wall of the historical students prison. Furthermore recommendations for preventive measures as well as suggestions for future usage are proposed.
