Abstract: St. Klementen Church in the Austrian area of Kärnten, was first mentioned in documents of the time around 1200. Today the church needs urgent treatment to preserve the building’s substance.
From march 30th to April 11th a group of five students from HAWK - Hildesheim University of Applied Sciences and Arts - carried out an investigation to record and assess the miscellaneous problems of conservation and restoration of St. Klementen Church. Their results are used in the following thesis to support the decision-making process for further measures of conservation and restoration.
