Language: Original   -   Translation
Overview:

Abstract: First mentioned in 1270 the templar chapel Mücheln (town Wettin, district Saalekreis) was used as an agricultural storehouse until 1986 . In the late-eighties of the last century the protection of the inventory started. During the last twenty years many different measures were carried out to preserve the basic structure of the buildings. Obviously not all phenomenoms of damage have been corrected, and need for action remains until today. For evaluation purposes investigation was carried out to record and assess the miscellaneous problems of conservation and restoration.
The following thesis documents the results and proposes advices for a long-dated conservation in the future. The implemented measures were summarised and evaluated to support the decision-making process for further measures of conservation and restoration. The master thesis is sponsored by “Deutsche Stiftung Denkmalschutz”, Public Trust.
