Language: Original   -   Translation
Overview:

Abstract: The remains of the vestments of Saint Bruno (925 - 965) were removed from his tomb in St. Pantaleon in 1892, and probabely promptly restored. Even though the remains of the vestments are important, they have nearly been forgotten in the colleciton of KOLUMBA , Cologne. Within the diploma work the fragments have been analysed in detail scientifically and technically. Information about their condition, their manufacture, date and former use have been sought. For their long-term preservation, a proposal is presented for conservation and storage.
