Liviana Köhn: CaLoSiL® - colloidal calciumhydroxid, comparative studies to material, effects and consolidation Back
Language: Original   -   Translation
Overview:

Abstract: CaLoSiL ® is a colloidally calciumhydroxid based consolidation-agent, manufactured by the company IBZ - Salzchemie GmbH & Co. KG. In this work, vendor-independent studies have been conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of the strengthening agent. All examinations were performed in comparison with other calcium hydroxide based on consolidating resources and a silicic acid ester. The comparative studies could provide a classification of the effectiveness of CaLoSiL®-products in relation to the other setting agents. Examined were possible visual changes, changes in water intake and investigations of the stability of the penetration and the firming effect. CaLoSiL® was subjected to special storage conditions thus could be carried out assessments.
