Language: Original   -   Translation
Overview:

Abstract: The decor panels of glazed carved terracotta appear to have a secondary composition. A long side of the original ceramics it has ornamental supplements in gypsum as well as ceramic additions. Within the scope of this work the decor panels were thoroughly examined restorative and scientifically. The main emphasis was set on the material characterization of the ceramics and the study of the current state of composition. The appearance of the decor panels was visually affected by previous restorations, therefore a museum presentation is not possible in this state. As a part of the concept the retention of the supplements is planed. The appearance should be improved by the decrease of the superficial soiling and coatings. In order to create an optical reassurance of the surface, the missing parts are to be filled and in colour retouched.
