Overview:

Abstract: This work describes the approach to the opportunities, which provide ions, generated by corona discharge. The basic idea is, to avoid or at least slow down particle deposition on plastic surfaces. Exemplary researchin this work is done on the acrylic sheets on face mounted photographs. For this, a test environment hasbeen established. In this the most critical environments for such objects regarding particle deposition, hasbeen emulated – exhibition and (unpacked) storage. The basic principle of the formulation of ions - coronadischarge, will be explained in detail, as well as the proof of its influence on particle deposition. This thesisrepresents a first approach to the question, if this method can help to solve the problems, generated by duston plastic surfaces.
