Johanna Menningen: In situ impregnation of marble – Ways of obtaining a deep penetration depth of acrylic resins into Carrara-Marble and methods used to determine the depth Back
Language: Original   -   Translation
Overview:

Abstract: On the basis of commonly used materials for impregnation based on acrylic resin, was the possibility of a deep in situ consolidation of Carrara marble examined. The impregnation was carried out by the application of a compress, and the fluid was supplied via a wick. The varying parameters of the impregnation solution to achieve a high penetration depth have been the concentration, the solvent and the acrylic resin.

Using various tested and experimental methods of investigation, each depth was determined and compared in response to the agent parameters. In addition, a comparison of test methods for the analysis of the penetration depth were determined for their informational value.
