Overview:

Work at the museum.
Abstract: In the permanent exhibition of the Augustinermuseum in Freiburg, a 1572 triptych is on display, consisting of a center panel and two foldable wings. The current presentation is not correct, since the shrine is opened with the foldable wings falsely presenting their weekday views. Two associated fixed wings, that have not been displayed yet, are stored in the depot. The museum likes to reunite these fixed wings with the altar, and to position the foldable wings correctly next to the center panel. In this Bachelor thesis a concept for the planned reunification has to be created, and the disparities between the fixed wings and the triptych have to be surveyed. Furthermore, the possibilities for the alignment of the conservation status, aided by a digital retouching, have to be elaborated.
