This bachelor thesis deals with two both-side painted panel paintings from the late medieval period of the Lower Saxony State Museum in Hanover. The scope of this is to analyze both parquet-panel paintings retables based on their restauration history and survival.
The thesis may provide an insight into the essence of the restauration and origins of the panel paintings in the medieval period and an overview of the abovementioned factors during the 18th, 19th and 20th century
All the references provided within the scope of the research represent therefore the historical and contemporaneous principles of slat and parquetry.
