Abstract: This experiment was conducted to observe what influence ionized air has on five different fungal cultures over the course of four weeks. The cultures were selected based on their ability to thrive in both dry and damp indoor environments. The cultures were inoculated onto test flakes before being exposed to the ionized air. Low negative air ion output fluctuating between -450 and -7803 ions/cm3 did not result in killing the fungal cultures off by the end of the experiment. The possible faulty ionizer should be exchanged, and the experiment should be repeated to compare and collect more accurate data.
