Rebekka Hartmann: About the separation of mould induced blockings of paper Back
Language: Original   -   Translation
Overview:

Abstract: This thesis deals with the enzymatic separation of mould induced blocking of paper. The basic idea to hydrolyze the cell wall components chitin and glucan by enzymes in order to weaken the blocking mycelium is being scientifically tested. Different methods for the detection of degradation products are tested for this purpose. In addition, possible practical application methods are developed. Although none of the detection methods provides clear evidence for the confirmation of the thesis, the first structurally weakening effects on pure mycelium could be achieved by the use of enzymes.
