Abstract: This essay is about a survey of a black forest flute-clock and a formulation of a concept for conservation. At first, the clock will be described and the cultural and historical background will be introduced. After that, the technical function will be explained and the construction of the particular components and the esthetical arrangement will be shown. After all, the actual constitution of the clock will be recorded and a concept of conservation in two variations will be worked out.
The first one is only about the conservation, the second one will additional reconstruct the compete function of the clock.
