Abstract: The object of this thesis is the parchment fragments Fragm. Ms. 01873, which was glued on a card with adhesives. It comes from the project, restoration of 5,300 medieval and early modern manuscript fragment at the Niedersächsische Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek Göttingen. The focus of this work is what the glue is and how the glue and the bonding of the parchment fragments are replaced. For this purpose, the main material parchment is defined terminologically, then its production and properties are explained. To identify the adhesive, the defination between glue and relevant Products are explained. Then it is carried out with three different examinations. After evaluating the results, the glue is defined. Subsequently, the methods of the bonding release selected at the SUB Göttingen will be transferred.
