| Abstract: | The paper deals with the examination and conservation of the paintings »Porree«, 1990, and »Rhabarber«, 1994, by Cornelia Schleime. The main objective is the documentation of the painting technique and the materials as well as the condition of the painting. The first part of the paper deals with the examination of the materials used by Schleime. Furthermore, the author goes into detail about the viscose and polyacrylonitrile used as painting support. The examination is extended with an artist interview. In addtition the fundamental concept of the conducted conservation and preventation is explained. |
