Anke Dall: The use of dried slaked mortars on saline load masonry Back

Abstract: In the continuity of the reestablishment of lime technology dried slaked mortars are used in the area of Sachsen-Anhalt for the conservation of historical plasters on saline load masonry.
Due to the results of this scientific examination the previous use of dried slaked mortars could be valued.
The experimental part of this work examines the influence of the grading curve and the binding agent content on the physical features regarding its capacity of salt absorption.
The results of this examination have shown that dried slaked mortars with its capillary active pore volume are qualified for the use on saline load masonry.
