Language: Original   -   Translation
Overview:

Abstract: The loudspeaker combination this dissertation deals with is the remaining part of a sound system of the „Klangfilm GmbH“. These sound systems were built and installed in cinemas from 1938. The special feature of the loudspeakersystem is the combination of two different speakertypes in one unit. In addition to the presentation of the historical context comparing reflections on other loudspeakers and their systems are made. The condition of the electroacoustical components and its surfaces is marked by inappropriate storage after its closedown. The concept for conservation and its practical realization is based on the documentation of the condition, the causes of damage and analysis of materials. One main topic are the structured lacquer surfaces. Possibilities of cleaning, stabilisation, completions and conservation are shown and proved with comparing analysis.
