Overview:

Abstract: The untitled painting is an early piece by the artist and painted in the style of tachism. It was carried out on paper, the used pigments mixed with polyvinyl acetate as a binding agent. Later the artist transferred the painting on a softboard and covered the surface with synthetic resin dispersion. The appearance is affected by the convexity of the board. The results of the scientific examinations showed a high percentage of lignin in the board, which had badly effected the paper. For conservation reasons and following the artist’s wish the board was removed. For additional strength and support paper strips and an acid free honeyboard were attached to the back. A frame for the presentation was designed.
