Abstract: The representation of the Last Judgement is a matter of a polychrome painting on a wooden board , that is located in the eastern field of arches of the large boardroom in the city hall to Goslar and is originated probably around 1500. In the mean time the image of the representationis characterized on the basis of renovation and restoration.
Aside from the time of origin and the history of constrction and restauration thescientificwork conciders mainlythe technological investigation of the picture layer.
Aim is to establish a treatment draft, that should be the base for a possibly following restoration. The summery of the resalts gained by this work enlarges the previous level of underständing to the story of the Last Judgement representation in the large boardroom of the Gorlarer city hall.
For open questions that could not be answered within this scientific work , the collected results serve as a base for further scientific researches.
