| Zusammenfassung: | As a contribution to the research and conservation of upholstered furniture this diploma thesis deals particularly with the discovered upholstery materials, in addition to the investigation of the wooden frame. By analysing these materials and interpreting the traces of reworking it´s possible to retrace the chair´s history to its original appearance. Altogether four different looks can be recontructed digitally . This thesis introduces two concepts of treatment. Both deal with the preservation of the discovered materials and give information on the object´s history. The first concept focuses on the conservation of the appearence nowadays, the second on the reconstruction of the original look. |
