Zusammenfassung: An important subject matter in relation to prevention of damages to artistic and cultural objects, is the detection and combatting of pests such as wood insects and fungi. For thousands of years wood is as a natural and renewable resource, well known as a basic construction material. But wood as an organic product is also after sheeting, subordinated to the biological cycle. In many cases such dangers, which can breed to asset erosion and partial damage, are often only
distinguishable, on the second view. For example in case of recovering nibble powder, caused by
ingestion of insects or coloured pavements, generated by flatly mycelia formations of fungi. Than an infestation by biogenous pests is already detected and should be investigated, antagonised or
stopped at least. This diploma- dissertation deals with wood destroying and wood colouring insects
and fungi, which are generally named as biogenous pests and which are domiciled in Central and North of Europe. The result is an turntable, which presents the characteristics and the grouping of
biogenous pests in a clearly arranged way.
