The present Master's thesis concerns the process of reinforcement with steel or glass fibre pin in stone restauration. Noteworthily, this method of stone restaustration has been used on the Freiburger Cathedral and in the Jewish cemetary „An der Stangriede" on the Tome of Königswarter. In the forefront, the study involves examing the reasons for the radial explosive effect of materials utililzed in treating the stone. The goal of this study is to introduce a recommended needling technique. This thesis is primarily founded on the study of thermal cycling and its effects on a reinforced stone.
