Zusammenfassung: The focus of this thesis is on the wall paintings in the profaned chapel St. Magdalena of the Siechhof in Eichstätt. Of particular interest is the eventful past of the group of buildings, that forms part of the Leprosarium. The history of the once sacred chapel to its profaned usage and its conversion, let the paintings fall into oblivion. Due to these circumstances no restoration, no intervention into the history of the work process have taken place. Until this day the extensive content of the wall paintings with its various work layers have not yet been documented, detected or examined. The survey of the asset and the condition of the wall paintings are the base for further work or research, followed by a concept of conversation. Firstly the purpose of this thesis is to document the existence of the chapel and its rich history and secondly to recall its memory in the minds of the inhabitants of Eichstätt. For the exposure to the wall paintings, work samplings based on the fact of the surveys, have been built up.
