Christine Baltscheit: Adhesives for edge-to-edge tear mending of linen yarn Zurück
Sprache: Original   -   Übersetzung
Zusammenfassung: In this diploma thesis adhesives for edge-to-edge tear mending of linen yarn are investigated. The adhesive selection focuses on vinylacetatbased adhesive dispersions. Since an inhomogeneous distribution of adhesive minimizes its surface and thereby limits the tensile strengths, primarily the yield and tensile properties of the adhesives were tested. Furthermore, the possibility of a modification of the dispersions by the addition of an aqueous cellulose ether is investigated. Appropriate studys are concerned with the effects of Tylose MH 50-additives on the flow and processing properties, tensile strength and water swellability of the dried films of Vinamul 8481 and Lineco. The trials show a reduction in tensile strength of Vinamul 8481 and an increase in Lineco. The swellability by water is increased in both cases. By this, the opportunity for the selective opening of thread-by-thread tear mendings is provided.
