Zusammenfassung: Subject of this diploma thesis are three 18th century tile stoves from Schloss Hof. They have
been in possession of the Museum of Applied Arts since 1928 where they were stored in a dismantled state. The conservation assessment of the three stoves was the starting point, then a the stove, dating from 1770/80 was chosen for model restoration. A technique was developed making it possible to dismantle and reassemble the object. The stove is intended to be re-used in Schloss Hof. Research was carried out to determine its historical position. The re-installation and integration within the existing heating system is also part of this thesis. Comprehensive scientific analysis were used to determine which pieces originally belonged to the stove. In addition, missing parts were reconstructed to create an esthetical connection between the original stove parts.
