| Zusammenfassung: | As part of a conservation concept the physical qualities of e Lenten‐veil were examined. In the second part the possibilities on textile consolidation in this particular case were discussed. The result was the invention of the „Nähbrücken“, where a single fibres adheres in a partially defected textile area only by surface friction. For this, a number of suitable needle/fibres‐combinations and sewingtechniques were tested on stability, characteristic behaviour in textile‐compound and practicability in use. After evaluating the facts, possibilities for the conservation and restoration of the baroque Lentenveil were given. |
