This dissertation will develop a new possibility for the presentation of fragmentary preserved mosaic of the Römisch- Germanisches Museum of Cologne. Beneath a introduction of investigations and conservatory interventions which has been done before different methods and possibilities of presentations will bee introduced. Ethical and esthetical requests for the new method of fillings with artificial Tesserae will be formulated, tested and materials chosen. The materials and techniques will be applicated on the mosaic. In a final valuation the pro and contra of the new method of the preservation will be explained and possible further developments suggested.
