Abstract: On the compound of a mill from the 18th century an the closed down
spinning mill from the 19th centurc in Sachsenburg an early
concentration camp as well as a training post for SS troops was
located between 1933 and 1937. Due to the complexity of the constructional legacy, this paper provides an overview of the material
state of the compound and its correlation to the temporary utilization
phases. Subsequently, selected residues from the era of National
Socialism are cataloged, based on a concise sondage of its
substance and current condition. The main focus of this thesis is the
development of an exemplary conservation and restoration concept
for the protection and long-term preservation of three target objects
and its realization in a sample axis.
