Abstract: The practical part of the diploma thesis comprises the examination of the late gothic sculpture “Heilige Anna Selbdritt” from Technitz as well as the documentation of the conservation and restoration.
The practial work was focused on the removal of the old wax-resin coating and fillings as well als the uncovering of the original blue paint.
The theoretical part is about the examination of the altarshrine and the sculpture St. Barbara from Technitz. Thoughts are given about the original attibution of the shrine sculptures.
