Overview:

Abstract: The interior construction and painting techniques were examined; its conditions as well as the causes of deterioration were analyzed. Based on the findings a conservation and restoration concept for the ceiling murals was developed. An important part of the thesis is the discussion and tests concerning the reduction of gypsum in the proteinious secco paintings. Options for their presentation as well as possible future uses for the whole pavilion were explored in the theoretical part.
