Language: Original   -   Translation
Overview:

Abstract: The coal sketches on tracing paper depicting Nuremburg city hall of the
year 1904/05 are highly important for art history. These sketches are the
last documentation of Albrecht Dürer’s mural art in Nuremberg city hall
from the year 1522.
This bachelor thesis focuses on the use of tracing paper in mural art, using the example of the tracing paper from the Nuremburg city hall. A localisation, an itemisation and a condition report will be provided. This paper will then suggest a conservation concept and recommendation for a preservative storage concept.
