Abstract: | The diploma thesis deals with the painting “Küchenvorrat. Totes Wild“, 1834, painted by Jakob Lehnen and part of the Old National Gallery’s Collection, Berlin. Due to a previous beeswax- treatment in the 20th century the painting had been completely covered with beeswax and the textile support had been partially impregnated. The major emphasis of the conservation treatment was directed towards reducing of the beeswax. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis includes the treatment of the wax impregnation. |
