Abstract: | 54 Schäppel are situated in the possession of the Badian State Museum Karlsruhe. They belong to the (bridal‐)crowns, which were produced between the 18th and 19th century in the South ‐ Black Forest. They consist of different materials. Within the scope of the dissertation the Schäppel were investigated in consideration of her damages, damages distribution and causes. Every exemplar was recorded in a short documentation. Considering to the demountable components and the material combinations a method concept was developed for the conservation and restoration. Enclosed an inventory entry, tabular survey with technical information and about the packaging and storage of the Schäppel. |
