Overview:  
Abstract: The aim of this thesis is to provide an overview of the material Gellan Gum and its possible applications in conservation and restoration. After the presentation of the material, the application possibilities in the different disciplines (book paper and graphics, paintings and mounted wooden objects as well as wall painting and architectural surfaces) are introduced and a short collection of recipes is presented. In order to give an insight into the topic and to be able to gather information, different publications and sources on the topic have been reviewed.
