Abstract: | The thesis is about a doll with an integrated gramophone as talking machine that dates towards the end of the 19th century. The talking doll is situated in a cultural and historical context and possibilities for the conservation and presentation are discussed. Based on the documentation of the state and the scientific analyses the foreseen measures of conservation and restoration are developed and realised. The concept contains a moderate conservation and a presentation, which emphasises both the technical aspect and the doll as a toy. This realisation represents the talking doll as an important historical document. |
